When the sun spits fury, use the nature’s ingredients to fight it. Beat the heat with some icy refreshing drinks to cool down. If you are already dreading summer, fret not; we bring you some easiest recipes to whip up some delicious beverages at home. Here are some of our favorites!
Lassi
The ever popular drink, the desi’s favorite – Lassi will quench your thirst like nothing else. It is also perhaps the easiest and cheapest summer drink as well. One cup of lassi can keep you energized all day long.

Here’s how to make it:
Bring the classic to life for everyone to enjoy using this simple method. Crush about 50 grams of ice cubes in a blender, and add 750 gm of yogurt to it, along with a pinch of salt, sugar, and water. Blend the mixture for about 1 minute, and your lassi is ready to be served. You can also add some refreshing mint to it for some zing.
Falsa Sherbet
A perfect drink for a hot, sunny day! Light, and Tasty, a falsa sherbet takes the edge off even the hottest summer days and always leaves a lingering impression.
Here’s how to make it:
Take 1 kilogram of falsa in a blender, and add about 2 cups of water to it, and 2 table spoons of salt and sugar. Blend it in the blender, and strain it by using one of water. Voila, refresh yourself with this easy drink.
Mint Lemonade
This sparkling, tangy drink is great for those days when you are feeling dehydrated. Anyone who has ever made it at home can vouch that buying lemonades from the bottles can never be a good substitute for the one you can make at home.
Here’s how to make it:
In a small saucepan, combine sugar with ¼ cup water, and let it boil. Wait for the sugar to dissolve. Once dissolved, remove the mixture from heat, and let it cool. Take a large pitcher, half-fill it with ice, and add about 2 cups of water, lemon juice, the sweet syrup, mint, and lemon slices. Serve it over ice, and garnish it with mint leaves, and lemon slices.
Pina Colada
Pina Colada is a drink that you won’t be able to stop sipping. Once you are done making it, you might want to be at the beach to sip this one.

Here’s how to make it:
Put about 1 cup of ice, half a cup of diced pineapples, 2 ounces of pineapple juice, and 2 ounces of coconut cream into a blender. Blend the ingredients together until smooth, and frosty. Garnish it with the pineapple slices and enjoy!
Cucumber Cooler
One of the most popular summers cooler to beat the heat – Cucumber cooler is a light, yummy, and tangy drink that leaves you absolutely refreshed and rejuvenated.

In a blender, take a cucumber, peel it, and cut it in small cubes, add about 8 mint leaves, honey, salt, pepper, and lots of ice cubes. Blend, and strain the puree into a bowl. Add lime juice to the mixture, and your cucumber mint cooler is ready to be served.
Iced Coffee
Coffee and lots of ice cubes in it – what better for a healthy summer sip? When plain drinks don’t cut it for you, cold coffee is here to the rescue.
Here’s how to make it:
First off, mix coffee powder, and cocoa powder in hot water, and boil it for 2 minutes. Add 4 table spoon sugar to it, and boil it for a minute. Now strain the mixture, and add two table spoons of it with about 3 cups milk, and blend it well. Serve it with a scoop of ice cream. Yum!

For something as soothing as this, you will be amazed to see how quickly it can be prepared using the most affordable ingredients. Ideal for any summer day, and ideal for all those summer get together. Serve it once, and your guests will surely ask for more.

Here’s how to make it:
Cut pieces of water melon, and run it through the blender. Strain it through a fine mesh strainer to remove the seeds. Add few drops of lime juice, and watermelon juice to it, and garnish it with some fresh mint. Easy as a cake!
Aam Panna
Kickstart your day with this ultimate summer drink. Aam Panna is a traditional and refreshing drink with health benefits. Besides being delicious, and refreshing, it is also very effective against heat strokes.

Here’s how to make it:
To make aam panna, take about 500 grams of green mangoes, and boil them until they become soft from the inside. Once cooled, remove the skin, and squeeze out the pulp. Blend salt, sugar, and 2 cups of water together, and pour the mango puree over it. Garnish it with mint leaves.
Pineapple Mojito (Non Alcoholic)
A treat to look at and a treat to have! This summer drink is an instant hit, but who says you have to spend hundreds to enjoy it? Ditch all those fancy restaurants, and make mojito at home.
Here’s how to make it:
Take pineapple pieces in a small mixing bowl, and muddle them with the back of a wooden, until the pieces are smaller. Add mint leaves to it, and muddle it again. Transfer the mixture in serving glass, and add ice cubes, soda, and lime juice to it. Voila, your summer drink’s ready!
